In Your Own Backyard is dedicated to uplifting survivors of domestic violence and those facing hardship by providing immediate assistance and long-term support. Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to safety, dignity, and the tools needed to rebuild their lives. Through collaboration, compassion, and advocacy, we aim to create a community where every individual is valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
"You Matter" Packs
Through the generous donations from our sponsors we provide "You Matter" dignity packs to the homeless, distributed through various organisations. The packs consist of basic daily essential items to give a person back their dignity. Included in these packs are items such as a towel, toothbrush/toothpaste, soap, hairbrush, wipes, shampoo/conditioner, razor, lip balm, perfume etc, with a waterproof bag to contain it all. We also supply an additional "refill" pack to those who need it. Monitory donations towards these packs are invaluable, without them we would not be able to achieve the donated numbers that we do.
